Application Information

Apply to Grow Certified Seed

The application and certification procedures are done online. You will need to know your login and password. If you do not have this information please call CCIA at 530-752-0544. First time company users will need to be added to our database.

To begin an application, use the 'Members Login' link on the home page and login with your email address and self-selected password. A tutorial is available on this page to help you navigate the online form.

Application Fees - Effective March 1, 2024

The minimum application fee is $125.00 for all crops. The application fees are as follows:

Corn$11.00/acre
Cotton$8.00/acre

Hemp - minimum application fee $500

  • Indoor production will be charged a flat fee
  • Field production will be charged by the acre

 

  • $1000 per application
  • $500 per application plus $20/acre
Potato - minimum fee $125$100.00/acre
Rice - certified$5.50/acre
Rice - foundation and registered$7.00/acre
Sunflower$10.00/acre
Turfgrass - minimum fee $125$90.00/acre
Watermelon$8.00/acre
All Other Crops$5.50/acre

Applications submitted after the due dates stated in the individual crop standards will be assessed a $125.00 late fee.
Incomplete applications will be assessed a $62.50 late fee.
Cancelled applications will be assessed a $125.00 fee.


Application Due Dates

Late fees will be assessed on applications submitted after the dates listed below.
Download "Dates for late Fee Calculation" for a list of planting dates and calculated late dates. For leap years add one day for February 29.

Applications due 3 weeks after planting. 
Crop planted on January 1 - Application would be assessed late fees if submitted after January 22.
Applications due 6 weeks after planting. 
Crop planted on January 1 - Application would be assessed late fees if submitted after February 11.
Applications due 8 weeks after planting. 
Crop planted on January 1 - Application would be assessed late fees if submitted after February 26.
